“How many times do I have to tell you, the right tool for the right job!”
– Mr. Scott, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
Traveling at warp speed around the universe is no small task. Getting your home theater system dialed in to make you think you are sitting in the captain’s chair on the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise is challenging as well. Success comes when you have the right environment, setup by a properly trained and equipped professional. Veracity AV uses and maintains state-of-the-art equipment to accurately calibrate what you see and hear enabling your display and speakers to achieve optimum levels of performance.
The Jeti Specbos 1211 is a true reference quality 5nm spectroradiometer that meets the SMPTE standards for a professional video calibration instrument. To achieve this level of accuracy you must use a 5nm spectroradiometer. Since the video display is the most important part of your viewing experience make sure your calibration is done with a tool that is up to the task.
The Klein K10-A has long been regarded as the industry standard colorimeter in display calibrations. Once it is profiled to our reference spectrophotometer, this meter is typically used for the majority of our measurements because of it’s superior speed, and low-light accuracy. The Large photo-diodes give the probe superior performance even in extremely low light (down to 0.00006 cd/m^2). Klein diodes are very large (5mm x 5mm each), thermally stable, and linear to report the highest degree of accuracy.
The SIX-G is the the only generator that carries a complete suite of ISF test patterns, select-able color output level, RGB Triplets and Constant APL (Average Picture Level) all in one place. It supports full 4K Ultra HD resolution and HDMI 2.0(a) / HDCP 2.2 operation all the way up to the 18 GBPS bandwidth level.
The SIX-G is also an excellent troubleshooting tool that helps to diagnose HDCP and handshaking problems that often plague distributed HDMI systems.
COLOR CALIBRATION SOFTWARE
We use CalMAN Ultimate as our main calibration software because it has customized workflows, the most extensive hardware support and is designed for professional calibration/installation companies,
AUDYSSEY INSTALLER KIT
Audyssey MultEQ® XT removes distortion caused by the interaction of sound from loudspeakers within the room. This results in the playback of sound as it was intended, without distortion and coloration, not just in one seat, but over a large listening area.
Audyssey Dynamic EQ is the first loudness correction technology to solve the problem of deteriorating sound quality as volume is decreased by taking into account human perception and room acoustics. Combining Dynamic EQ with a professional MultEQ XT installation results in unparalleled clarity, detail, balance, and imaging, at any volume.
Audyssey Installer-Ready products greatly benefit from professional calibration using the MultEQ® Pro PC application and the Audyssey Installer Kit. An Installer Kit and a laptop are used to run the MultEQ Pro application, perform measurements, and transfer MultEQ XT filters from the laptop to the Audyssey Installer-Ready device. Please visit the Audyssey Installers site for a detailed description of the advantages a professional calibration offers.
You may also purchase your own professional Audyssey installer kit and obtain on-site training by contacting us.
The AEMC CA813 light meter features optical sensors that are designed to match the response of the human eye, and accurately measures very low light levels. This makes it an ideal instruments for checking other instruments low-level readings, measuring a display’s black level and calculating contrast ratios.
CALIBRATION DISCS & PATTERNS
In addition to a pattern generator, test discs and other patterns are used to verify & calibrate your entire video chain, from the Media/Disc player to the display.
